When we first started out, street food was still a novelty in Wales. But in the villages and along the beaches of Cyprus, communal cooking has been second nature for generations. In Greek culture, sharing food with friends and neighbours isn’t just tradition, it’s a way of life.
We fell in love with street food because it represents something deeper: family, culture, and connection. Food brings people together in a way few things can. In fact, the idea for Meat & Greek was born at a family barbecue.
There we were, gathered around the grill, devouring souvlaki fresh off the coals — that unmistakable, smoky aroma in the air — when it hit us.
Could we bring a taste of Greece to Wales? Could we capture that feeling and spark a love for Greek flavours here at home? We didn’t know for sure — but we knew we had to try.
SO WE DID.
authentically greek
At Meat & Greek, we serve up the rich flavours of Greece with proper passion and no shortcuts. From flame-grilled souvlaki to gyros that drip with goodness, every bite is rooted in tradition and made with top-notch ingredients. We honour the classics but give them a fresh twist – because good food should never be stuck in the past.
